Shuttle Schedule

All participants staying at designated conference hotels within a three mile radius of the University Campus will be shuttled to and from the conference site daily. The shuttle service will begin on Thursday, July 3 at 8.00 a.m. A schedule for the shuttled service will be made available prior to the conference.

Campus Accomodation

In addition to the hotel rates quoted below, we have reserved low cost housing for 200 participants at the Rex Nettleford Hall on the UWI campus at a rate of US35 dollars per night. The Rex Nettleford Hall is equipped with flats that house six single rooms, dining, living, cooking and toilet facilities. They are of a modern standard and would suffice for groups, families, and colleagues or even strangers who wish to share a flat. It is located in a valley surrounded by the Dallas Mountains which are a part of the Blue and John Crow Mountain range. It is close to the students union which is equipped with an eatery, supermarket, gymnasium as well as within walking distance of the University's swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball court as well as track facilities. It is within walking distance of the main conference site (approx. 7 - 15 minutes depending on the pace at which one walks).This location will give any visitor to the Mona Campus a real appreciation for the campus layout and its picturesque scenery.

The deadline for reservation and payment is May 29, 2008. This is within walking distance to the conference site. Please contact the Secretariat to reserve rooms.

Payment for Accommodation at Rex Nettleford Hall
 
For those who have booked campus accommodation the absolute deadline for payment is June 15 (unless you have made prior arrangements) and this is what is required: Payments are to be submitted by money order made out to the Lodgings Section, University of the West Indies, Mona Campus. This should be mailed to the Secretariat. The mailing address is as follows:
